The Caisse d’Epargne Grand Est Europe is now a partner of NEOMA Bioeconomy and Sustainable Development Chair

The Caisse d’Epargne Grand Est Europe, one of NEOMA’s longstanding associates has now become a partner of the Bioeconomy and Sustainable Development Chair. A leader in the banking sector, the CEGEE is determined to step up its own environmental transition and provide its customers with ever better support in the face of these complex challenges.

Serving the ecological transition in business

 This partnership is a perfect illustration of the Caisse d’Epargne Grand Est Europe’s desire to further its own ecological transition thinking whilst sharing the Chair’s findings with its customers (including companies, local authorities, associations, etc.). “This partnership is the logical continuation of our long-standing association with NEOMA. It is further demonstration of our bank’s role in working actively with all those who contribute to enhancing the reputation and development of the region,” says Eric Saltiel, Executive Board member in charge of the CEGEE’s Resources division.

“It is also the first time that we have made such a commitment to actors in the economy and in the world of higher education and research and we are delighted to be doing so with NEOMA.”

The Caisse d’Epargne Grande Est Europe will therefore benefit from the research carried out by the Chair, transferable business cases and tools designed to drive sustainable action plans. “The ecological transition is a major concern for companies today and the bio-economy is a new approach in this field,” explains Nicolas Béfort, Chairholder of NEOMA. “To address the complexity of these issues fully and to be able take part in the debate in an informed manner, the Caisse d’Epargne Grand Est will benefit from our cutting-edge research.”
